This week was a bit different for us. Lauren was involved in drama camp this week. Do not confuse this with the normal drama that comes with having two children, especially those of the female variety. This was drama camp where the kids actually practiced and performed a musical! The
Academy of Arts has been doing a homeschool drama week here for several years now. They do a great job, and the kids have a wonderful time! If you are a homeschooler looking for an activity like this, check them out! Maybe you can bring them to your area.

Lauren was part of the general cast for most of the musical and for the last few songs, she did an outstanding job playing an ear of corn. She informed me that because of her corn status, she only mouthed the words in one song that said, "...and roast an ear of corn..." because she did not like the thought of being roasted.
I was just glad she wasn't a green bean because green beans make me gag.

I think Ashley missed her sister this week. She substituted her doll for her sister one day. The second photo shows how she REALLY felt about having her picture taken.

My boys are every bit as drama-laden as those girls, I bet. Looks like great fun though for your daughter, except for the little one having to be alone. It's so sweet, though! Thanks for sharing and I hope you have a blessed weekend.
Woo-hoo Lauren!! She looked like the best corn ever.
One of the local HS here does a drama camp that Mackenzie loves. Hopefully, we'll still be here for it. LOL
I love he comment from your daughter about "being roasted". The drama week sounds like a lot of fun. I would have enjoyed that as a kid.
I have a child that would have loved Drama camp. What fun!
That's so cute. I love that she missed her big sister :)
Love that picture of Ashley! That's how I feel about having my picture taken too. It looks like you guys are having a great time in your homeschool. As for us, I am envisioning more and more field trips to finish out the year {as much for me as for them!}
What a fun thing! I'll have to check this out.
