The Fiber Arts Festival OR The Bowel Regularity Carnival

We went to a Fiber Arts Festival this week. Our friend Aaron said it sounded like it should be called the Bowel Regularity Carnival.

Hopefully the only ones displaying the regularity of their bowels were the alpacas and goats that were available for our viewing pleasure.

For a mere 50 cents each, the girls were able to weave their own baskets. They also did some wet felting and make little flowers out of wool. Well, I think it was wool. I was a little unclear on that part.

The girls each spun some yarn. I was just glad that Ashley didn't growl at the man showing them how to do it. He got a big kick out of her and how shy she was. In fact, I think we had a break through today because I don't think she even scowled at him. Trust me, the look in this picture her scowl.

They also did a little stitching and made little stars on plastic canvas. A fun, cheap time was had by all.

How nice to have these activities near by you! We have an alpaca ranch 5 miles from us. Took Austin & Abby there last summer and they loved it! Since the owners are grandparents of one of my piano families, going there will be one of our "recital challenge" rewards. (Play your recital song 4x/day for the last 25 days before recital! Happy Mother's Day, Heather! We love you!
