She hula hooped non-stop for 31 MINUTES. And let me reiterate that she then quit voluntarily.
I think I once won a hula hoop contest in my high school youth group. So obviously we have some serious hula hooping genes going on here.
That's what I always have dreamed about passing on to my children....my legacy, if I may......the potential to win the all-important Hula Hoop Contest.

My mom was the hula hoop neighborhood contest winner when she was a teen--she didn't pass it on to myself or my kids though she did pass it on to my brother. :)
Go Lauren.
You may win the tiniest waist contest, Lauren, if you continue to hula hoop for that long! :)
I am severely lacking the hula gene. I will never win that all-important award. Hopefully, I can make it up somewhere else in life. I've got to have a talent hiding away in my genes that is going to pop out someday and proclaim itself. ...someday.

Nobody in our family can hula hoop to save our lives. There's a girl at church who can go forever though.
My daughter wants to do a hula hoop contest. She asked me if there were such things! I myself cannot hula hoop for the life of me. Not that I am up for trying right now :)
I want to know how her abs feel tomorrow! Alyssa, the next day was complaining about muscles she never even knew she had!
But I have her with a smaller hoop then Lauren. It seems to work better for her.
I wish I could hula hoop! I was the jump rope champion in elementary school! But that is about it here! Miss seeing you on WX!
