I love going to the beach! I just hate the sand. LOL
I especially hate the sand coming HOME with me. And speaking of home, we have a huge, enormous sandbox that my darling husband built, and I really don't like that sand coming into my house via my children's bodies either.
What to do? We sprinkle baby powder quite liberally over all sand-encrusted parts of the body. Then rub. It works like a charm. Especially on hot, sticky, "I have sunscreen all over me" bodies.
Obviously you need to do this before entering the car or house. We like to keep a big container of baby powder right by the back door all summer long.

What perfect timing for your tip! We're in Mexico right now on vacation and we're spending 90% of our time on the beach playing in the sand. Our condo is becoming quite gritty with sand, despite our best efforts to rinse the sand off the kids (and us) before entering inside.
I need to go and buy some baby powder and give this a try!
Thanks for the tip!
I use this too - but often just to get sand off feet after a paddle and care-foot walk on the beach, before getting back in the car. I use an old soft towel too, lots of baby power, and their feet are clean and sweet-smelling in no time!
I'm going to have to remember this next time we head to the beach. It is a full day's trip away, but we do try to vacation there now and then!
Nothing worse than trying to relax on vacation with sand everywhere! Thanks for this tip!
I found this out last year when we went to the beach. It saved our car. It is so awesome!
Oh yeah! Love the baby powder! I always hated sand...in any form, until I was clued in on baby powder!
I never knew...what a great idea! We'll definitely be packing that for beach trips this summer.
Thanks!
