WFMW - Encouragement for Dads

Being a Dad in this day and age can be a tough job. The FamilyMan sends out a weekly email that is short, funny, and a great encouragement for Dads. My husband has been receiving this email for several months now and really enjoys it. He has even used some of the tips for some family time activities that HE planned! Gotta love that!

Dads can sign up by clicking here for these funny and encouraging (and FREE) emails. You can also read back issues by clicking on that link.

This is what the FamilyMan himself has to say about the weekly newsletters:

"Do you ever wish a guy would come to your house every once in a while, slug you in the arm, and tell you to straighten up, be a good dad, and be loving to your wife? Well, now your wildest dreams have come true, because I'll come to your home or office each week and do just that. Now, don't be expecting a theological treatise on husbanding, because the Familyman Weekly isn't that. Think of it more as one dad encouraging another over the backyard fence."

That's what works for us! Head on over to Rocks In My Dryer for more great Works for Me Wednesday tips!

wow, great tip. I think everyone could use encouraging but I don't think that men seek it out as much as women do (just generalizing there--sorry!!)

Thanks for sharing. I'm always looking for ways to let DH in on our world. Even though it was he who wanted me to homeschool in the first place, I think I might be able to pass some of this on to him.

Grandma read lots of blog entries from you this morning and had a great time chuckling and smiling and thinking of you! I've been enjoying them too and it does bring back memories!!
